General Motors has unveiled its facelifted 2016 GMC Sierra and 2016 Chevrolet Silverado pickup trucks, ahead of the vehicles’ full debuts this fall when both go on sale (see photos).

The Chevrolet Silverado is getting a completely new front end, heavy built out of colour-keyed, horizontal elements and a sculpted hood, while the GMC Sierra will receive new grilles for each trim level plus C-shaped LED head- and taillights.

The automaker hasn’t yet revealed much about other upgrades to the trucks, though Chevrolet did note the 2016 Silverado will see the availability of its eight-speed automatic transmissions expanded, and an updated Chevy MyLink with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay installed.

Both trucks are due to go on sale in fall 2015.
