A 28-year-old woman is facing a number of charges, including impaired driving, after she allegedly stole a fire truck in Halifax early Monday morning. Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency was responding to an alarm at a building on Almon Street around 5:10 a.m. when the woman allegedly jumped into the truck and drove away. Police were called to the scene just before 6 a.m. They found the unoccupied fire truck at the intersection of Clifton Street and Charles Street, according to Halifax police in a news release. Halifax Regional Police officers arrested the suspect in the 2300 block of Gottingen Street around 6:30 a.m. Police say no one was injured and no damage was reported.
