Two youths arrested following robbery in Eastern Passage: N.S. RCMP

Two youths have been arrested following a robbery in Eastern Passage, N.S., last week.

The RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment responded to a report of a robbery around 8:35 p.m. on June 9. The incident happened earlier in the evening, at 7 p.m., at a park in the 700 block of Caldwell Road.

“Officers learned that two youths confronted another youth. One of the suspects produced a BB gun and stole a vape from the victim. The suspect also threatened the victim in an attempt to prevent them from reporting the incident to police. No one was injured,” reads a news release from the Nova Scotia RCMP.

One of the youths was arrested on June 10 and transported to the Cole Harbour RCMP Detachment. Police say BB pellets and a carbon dioxide canister for a BB gun were seized from the youth’s backpack.

The youth was released on conditions and is set to appear in Halifax Youth Provincial Court at a later date.

The second youth was arrested Wednesday and remains in custody. The youth was scheduled to appear in Halifax Youth Provincial Court on Thursday.
