Two people seriously injured after wrong-way crash in Dartmouth: police

Two people were hospitalized after an early morning crash in Dartmouth, N.S.

A head-on crash in Dartmouth, N.S., sent two people to hospital with serious injuries Monday morning.

Police say they responded to reports of a vehicle travelling northbound on the wrong side of Highway 111 near the Micmac Boulevard exit around 6:15 a.m.

Callers reported a head-on collision near the Woodland Avenue onramp a few minutes later.

The drivers of both vehicles were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Halifax Regional Police said just before 7 a.m. all southbound traffic between Woodland Avenue and Micmac Boulevard on Highway 111 was down to one lane.

Police say their investigation is ongoing.
