N.S. RCMP looking for man wanted on drug, weapons charges

The Nova Scotia RCMP is looking for a 34-year-old man wanted on more than two dozen charges, including drug and weapons offences.

Police have issued an arrest warrant for Joel Andre Gaudet of Church Point, N.S., who is facing the following charges:

• possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine)
• six counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
• four counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm
• four counts of possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
• unsafe storage of a firearm
• five counts of possession contrary to an order and failing to surrender authorization
• possession of property obtained by crime
• six counts of failing to comply with a release order

Police say they have made several attempts to locate Gaudet and are now asking the public for help.

Gaudet is described as five-foot-11 and 170 pounds with dark brown hair and blue eyes. He also has several distinctive facial tattoos.
