Police are seeking information from the public after a home invasion in North Preston, N.S., on Sunday night. Officers responded to a report around 9:20 p.m. saying armed individuals in masks had broken into a home on Churchill Terrace. “Officers, including RCMP Police Dog Services, attended the scene and learned that a 53-year-old woman was home alone when two masked men entered the residence, assaulted her and stole a personal lock box before fleeing on foot,” reads a news release from RCMP on Monday. The woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at the scene by EHS, police say. Investigators don’t believe the incident was random and ask anyone with information to contact police at 902-490-5020. For more Nova Scotia news, visit our dedicated provincial page
