The Nova Scotia government is offering a reward of up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for the death of Oren Edward Williams. Police found Williams’ body on the side of the road on Brian Street in East Preston on Aug. 14, 2022, when they were responding to a report of a suspicious death in the area. The province says the RCMP is investigating his death as a homicide. “If you have any information that can help solve this case, I urge you to come forward,” said Becky Druhan, attorney general and minister of Justice, in a news release from the province. “No matter how big or small, you may have the missing piece that is needed.” The province is asking anyone with information about the case to call the Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program at 1-888-710-9090. “People who come forward with information must provide their name and contact information, and they may be called to testify in court. All calls will be recorded,” reads the release. Anyone with a tip who prefers to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers of Nova Scotia at 1-800-222-8477.
