A man who was missing from a psychiatric hospital on Prince Edward Island has been found after a nearly two-month search. Robert Dwayne Kelly, a patient at Hillsborough Hospital in Charlottetown, was last seen on May 6 while on an escorted leave in Cornwall. Police said Kelly left the Church Street area “unnoticed” by hospital staff. A warrant of committal was then issued for his return. Police said they received multiple tips on possible sightings, including in Halifax the day after Kelly’s disappearance. Halifax Regional Police told Charlottetown Police Services on Monday that he was found and in custody. Kelly was taken back to P.E.I. that afternoon and into the care of health-care professionals.
