Man arrested for impaired driving after truck crash: N.S. RCMP

Police say a man was arrested earlier this week for impaired driving following a crash in the Musquodoboit, N.S., area.

RCMP responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash in the 12600 block of Highway 224 around 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say a truck had gone off the road and into the ditch.

An officer found the truck in the ditch with a man in the driver’s seat, according to an RCMP news release.

Police say the officer saw signs of impairment and got a roadside breath sample from the driver, which he reportedly failed.

The 45-year-old man from Chaswood was arrested for impaired driving and taken to the Enfield RCMP detachment.

Police say he provided two additional breath samples that registered 280 mg% and 270 mg%.

He was released pending a future court appearance.
