A 54-year-old man from Lower Sackville, N.S., has been charged in relation to a child luring investigation. Officers began investigating reports the man had communicated with a youth online “for a sexual purpose” in July. Members of the Provincial Internet Child Exploitation Unit and RCMP Digital Forensic Services executed a search warrant at a residence on Sept. 9 at a residence on Langevin Drive. In a news release on Monday, the RCMP says electronic evidence was seized. As a result, Andrew Peter Lawrence has been charged with: He has been released on condition and is set to appear in Dartmouth provincial court on Oct. 13. “Investigators believe additional victims may’ve been targeted online and are urging parents and guardians to speak with their children about online safety, and to report any suspicious activity to their local police,” reads the news release.
