A Halifax teen is now facing 33 total charges after allegedly threatening to bring weapons to Citadel High School last month. Police say the 16-year-old was arrested without incident at his home in Halifax at around 3 a.m. on April 23 after receiving what they called credible information about a threat directed at the school. At the home, police say they also found and seized a “number of weapons,” including firearms and ammunition, but they did not say exactly how many weapons were seized, or whether they were legal. Police did not add if the youth was a student at Citadel High School, instead cautioning the public from identifying the youth as his identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The boy was originally charged with a number of weapon and threat charges, but those were dropped as new charges became present. The youth is now facing 33 total charges including: The youth is set to reappear in court on May 12.
