A 36-year-old Halifax-area man is facing multiple charges after allegedly stealing an ATV and trailer earlier this week. Police responded to a report of a black truck hauling a stolen ATV and trailer travelling towards Musquodoboit Harbour around 10:10 a.m. on Wednesday. An officer found the truck on Highway 7 in Gaetz Brook and conducted a traffic stop, but the driver allegedly fled, according to an RCMP news release. The driver abandoned the vehicle near Chris Cait Drive and Scots Lake Road, and ran into the nearby woods. Police arrested a 33-year-old female passenger at the scene. She was later released without charge. Police learned the ATV and trailer were stolen in Dartmouth in the early morning hours of Monday. Police, using a remotely piloted aircraft system and tips from the public, found the suspect on Highway 107 and arrested him.
