Canadian rock band Arkells is coming to Hubbards, N.S., for a special outdoor concert as part of their upcoming “Between Us” tour. Arkells will play the iconic Shore Club, which is celebrating 80 years this year, on Aug. 29. “We’ve been hearing the call to come back to the East Coast and this year we committed to doing something different,” says Arkells frontman Max Kerman. “An outdoor show, right on the water, just outside of Halifax. We’ve played a lot of small communities in this country, but we haven’t been to Hubbards. See you on the cove!” Prince Edward Island band The East Pointers will join Arkells at the Shore Club on the Cove – the venue’s outdoor lot on Shore Club Road. Arkells formed in 2006 and are best known for songs like You Can Get It, 11:11, Past Life, and Leather Jacket. Tickets go on sale online on Friday.
