Police in Nova Scotia’s Lunenburg County are investigating a fatal collision in Lilydale. The RCMP, fire services, and EHS responded to a report of a collision on Northwest Road, near Schnares Crossing Road, around 4:20 p.m. Wednesday. “Officers learned that a Chevrolet Spark had collided with a Hyundai Accent then a Dodge Ram,” reads a news release from the Nova Scotia RCMP. “A passenger in the Chevrolet, a 53-year-old man from Blockhouse, was transported to hospital and pronounced deceased. The driver was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries and a second passenger was transported to hospital by EHS.” According to police, the driver and passenger of the Ram reported minor injuries, while the driver of the Accent had no physical injuries. An RCMP collision reconstructionist was on the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
