Annapolis County man wanted on provincewide arrest warrant: N.S. RCMP

A man from Melvern Square, N.S., is wanted on a provincewide arrest warrant.

David James Bishop, 44, is facing charges of:

• three counts of endanger the life of any person
• two counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
• two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
• possess firearm while prohibited
• possess prohibited weapon
• using firearm in commission of offence
• careless use of a firearm
• without lawful excuse, point a firearm
• two counts of possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition
• two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm
• two counts of possession of firearm knowing possession is unauthorized
• two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
• uses violence to a person or that person’s property
• mischief that causes actual danger to life
• failing to comply with condition of undertaking

Police describe Bishop as six-foot-one, over 300 pounds, with a shaved head, blue eyes, and several tattoos. He was last seen driving a blue Harley Davidson motorcycle with raised handlebars.

“Police have made several attempts to locate Bishop and are requesting assistance from the public,” reads a news release from the Nova Scotia RCMP.

The RCMP shared a post on social media Tuesday saying they were looking for a man with a similar description who was “evading arrest” in the Wilmot area of the Annapolis Valley.

Police are asking anyone with information about Bishop’s whereabouts to call Kings District RCMP at 902-679-5555, their local police, or Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
