Two men from Caraquet, N.B., have been charged in connection with a break, enter and theft in Inkerman, N.B. The Lamèque RCMP Detachment began an investigation after officers learned there were videos of an attempted break and enter at a residence circulating online. The investigation led police to determine two men were involved. A 42-year-old man and a 47-year-old man, both from Caraquet, were arrested at a residence on Aug. 6. Rudy Mailloux, 42, appeared in Bathurst Provincial Court on Aug. 8 and was charged with: Pascal Robichaud, 47, appeared in court the same day and was charged with: Both men were remanded into custody pending a future court appearance. “The vigilance of residents played a key role in this investigation,” said Sgt. Sylvain Bergeron of the Lamèque RCMP in a news release. “By sharing security camera footage with the RCMP, residents helped officers identify and arrest the suspects quickly.” The investigation is ongoing.
