A wildfire in southwest New Brunswick that was detected earlier this week is now contained, according to the Department of Natural Resources wildfire dashboard. The fire near Oromocto Lake and Brockway was first detected around 9 p.m. on Wednesday. It grew to roughly 13 hectares, but did not prompt evacuation requirements.
