The New Brunswick Union and the provincial government have signed a “master agreement” that will cover more than 3,500 employees and combine 11 bargaining units into one. The government says the new collective agreement will streamline negotiations. “Both sides worked hard to reach this historic deal, and I want to thank them all for working together to make it happen,” said Finance and Treasury Board Minister René Legacy in a news release. The workers covered under the deal include: The province says the agreement offers better access to vacation days, recognition and retention premiums, and a general economic increase retroactive to April 1, 2024.
