Moncton Wildcats advance to QMJHL finals for first time in 15 years

For the first time in 15 years the Moncton Wildcats are going to the QMJHL finals.

The Moncton Wildcats will be heading to the finals of the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League for the first time in 15 years.

The team punched their ticket with an overtime win on the road against the Royun-Noranda Huskies on Wednesday night.

The Wildcats have now won 12 of their 13 post-season games.

Moncton will face the winner of the Rimouski Oceanic-Shawinigan Cataractes series when it wraps up. If Rimouski wins, Moncton would automatically head to the Memorial Cup because the Oceanic are the host team.
