The Board of Directors of Cape Enrage Interpretive Centre (CEIC) announced Wednesday their site will not be open to visitors for the 2026 season. Cape Enrage has been a valued attraction in Fundy Albert, N.B., welcoming 20,000 to 25,000 visitors each year. The site is known for its cliffside view of the Bay of Fundy and 183 metre zip line. “The decision comes after ongoing challenges and a lack of operational certainty,” reads a news release on the Cape Enrage social media. They cite the absence of a formal operating contract with the province since March 31. Without it, they say CEIC has been unable to responsibly plan or execute a safe and sustainable season. The provincially owned facility has also faced structural challenges, including limited road access to the site. “The absence of clarity and continuity in this support has made it impossible to maintain operations at the standard expected by visitors, the community and the province,” the release notes.
