Nova Scotia has named the five individuals who will receive the province’s highest honour for 2024. According to a news release from the province, the Order of Nova Scotia recognizes people who have “distinguished themselves and made lasting contributions.” “These Nova Scotians have made exemplary contributions and enhanced the social fabric and identity of Nova Scotia and Canada across diverse fields,” said Lt.-Gov. Mike Savage in the release. This year’s Order of Nova Scotia recipients are: Established in 2001, the province says 126 members have been invested into the Order of Nova Scotia. The lieutenant-governor will present the new members with their insignia and appointment scroll during an investiture ceremony at Government House in the spring.
