Jacob Lewis from Butlerville, N.L., is this season’s winner of “Canada’s Got Talent.” “Thank you, Rogers! Thank you, Canada. My family, my friends. Everyone back home. Thank you, guys. Thank you!” Lewis said in a news release. Lewis, an offshore oil and gas construction worker, won over the judges and the audience with his performance of “The Best” by Tina Turner during the live finale on Tuesday night. Lewis also won $1 million in prize money. “It’s changed the life of my family, my life, I can’t thank everyone enough,” said Lewis. “Tonight, we got to experience someone’s dreams being realized. The power of your country behind you means something (I speak from experience), and I can’t wait to see what happens next for Jacob Lewis,” said Shania Twain, a judge on the show. The Martin Boys – a country duo from Woodstock, N.B., who’ve been singing together since they were six and nine – finished in second. They also preformed during the finale with an original country track titled “Burn the Boats.” “I mean, we’re honored to place second because it was the most voters ever in a Canada’s Got Talent finale,” said Micah Martin. Both acts say life has already changed dramatically. “The bookings are coming in off the charts. People are wanting to have us,” said Micah Martin. The love they’ve received from the show has prompted the Martin Boys to quit their day jobs. “We’re done. We’re full sending this into music and there’s no plan B,” said Macauley Martin. As for Lewis, the next chapter starts now. “I do want to make a career of this. Well, at least give it a push and give it an honest try,” said Lewis. “If I am doing concerts anywhere and, anyone is able to take in those, I will give you a performance.
