The price of gas and diesel increased significantly in both Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island overnight. Nova Scotia The price of regular self-serve gasoline increased by 7.1 cents in the Halifax area after the interrupter clause was invoked “due to significant shifts in the market prices.” The new minimum price of gasoline is 182.9 cents per litre. Diesel prices increased by 10.9 cents to a new minimum price of 246.7 cents per litre. The new minimum price of regular self-serve gasoline in Cape Breton is 184.9 cents per litre and the minimum price of diesel is 248.6 cents per litre. Prince Edward Island The price of regular gasoline on P.E.I. increased by 8.2 cents during a newly-scheduled Tuesday adjustment. The minimum price is now 194.8 cents per litre. The price of diesel increased by 13.8 cents to a new minimum price of 256.3 cents per litre. New Brunswick The price of gas and diesel did not change overnight in New Brunswick. The price of regular self-serve gasoline remains at a maximum price of 183.8 cents per litre. The maximum price for diesel remains 257.7 cents per litre. The next scheduled adjustment for all three Maritime provinces is Friday.
