BERLIN -- A rescue helicopter has crashed during a training flight off Germany's Baltic Sea coast, killing three people.

The aicraft's operator, DRF Luftrettung, said Saturday that one person on board survived the crash and was being treated at a hospital.

The helicopter, which was based at Guettin on northeastern Germany's Ruegen island, crashed Friday evening. Divers recovered the bodies of one of the pilots, a doctor and a rescue assistant overnight.

There was no immediate word on the possible cause of the crash.
