CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Canada's male junior relay teams earned silver and bronze medals in the men's 4x200-metre freestyle relay at the U.S. Grand Prix.

SwimMAC from North Carolina won the gold medal, clocking seven minutes and 35.77 seconds to defeat the Canadian foursomes that finished in 7:36.43 and 7:49.64.

Gael Chaubet of Longueuil, Que., Yuri Kisil of Calgary, Javier Acevedo of Ajax, Ont., and Oliver Straszynski of Toronto made up the silver-medal winning team. The bronze-medal winning group included Mitchel Ferraro of Uxbridge, Ont., Matthew Ackman of Uxbridge, Ont., Gavin Dyke of St. John's, N.L., and Mirando Jarry of Montreal.

The two Canadian teams also placed second and third in Friday's 4x100 freestyle.

In individual finals, Katerine Savard of Pont-Rouge, Que., was fifth in the 50 butterfly, and Kennedy Goss of Toronto placed sixth in the women's 100 backstroke.
