Microsoft has announced that the next-generation Windows 10 will be available this summer.

Beginning July 29, users will be able to download the free upgrade on their computers, tablets, phones and gaming and entertainment devices.

New features and updates include improvements to Cortana, Windows' digital assistant; the introduction of a new browser Microsoft Edge; and Office 2016.

One of the recurring functionalities across the board is the ability to provide recommendations and carry out functions based on the user's preferences and history for a more personalized experience.
