Scarlett Johansson has been named Babe of the Year by GQ magazine.

The 'Iron Man 2' actress - who is married to actor Ryan Reynolds - is the first of this year's honourees to be revealed by the US publication for their annual Men of the Year list, taking the title for her versatility and willingness to try new things.

The magazine commented: "At 26, she remains fresh-faced, curious, trying on new moods and outlets of expression as easily as she changes her hair colour. This is what we love about Scarlett: that she's game, that she's good, that she can try on all these guises without seeming to try too hard.

"And all the while still seem genuinely like the observant, inquisitive (and very cute) girl in transition we fell for in 'Lost in Translation'."

Babe of the Year Scarlett told GQ she has few hobbies outside of her work and struggles to find ways to pass the time.

She said: "I'm still trying to figure out what to do when I'm not making movies. I just don't do that many things."

Earlier this year, Scarlett won a Tony Award for her performance in Broadway production 'A View From The Bridge' opposite Liev Schreiber Despite receiving critical acclaim for her acting, she admits she was initially nervous about taking the role because she felt "exposed".

She said: "It was strange to think that this show is going to go on whether it's good or bad. They will let the audience in at some point, and they will see it, and we are going to be exposed for better or for worse."
