Bourbon maker Woodford Reserve announced Monday the 2015 installment of the celebrated $1,000 Mint Julep Cup, launched in honor of the Kentucky Derby, taking place May 1 and 2.

This is the tenth year that Woodford Reserve has come out with a Mint Julep Cup for the Kentucky Derby.

Fashion designer Billy Reid and mixologist Pamela Wiznitzer also worked with Woodford Reserve to design the cup, 90 of which are available.

Cups were then handcrafted at the jeweler From the Vault, based in Louisville, Kentucky, where the race is held.

Sales, which start Monday and run through April 30, will benefit the Wounded Warrior Equestrian Program. Unsold cups will be available at the event at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky.

Whether or not you're willing to spring for the cup, you might wish to make the celebrated cocktail using Woodford Reserve's special recipe by Pamela Wiznitzer.
