Canadian crooner Michael Buble will take on hosting duties for the 2013 Juno Awards, CTV announced in a cheeky commercial that aired Sunday during the Super Bowl.

This year’s ceremony honouring the best in Canadian and international music is set for April 21 and will be broadcast from Regina’s Brandt Centre.

CTV made the announcement with a 30-second promo featuring Bublé under the covers with fellow Canadian pop stars and power couple Chad Kroeger and Avril Lavigne.

Shortly after the commercial aired, the multi-Juno and Grammy award-winning artist tweeted his enthusiasm for his upcoming hosting gig: “#CTV makes dreams come true.. not only am I in bed with #AvrilLavigne & #ChadKroeger I get to host the 2013 #JUNOawards.”

Phil King, president of CTV Programming and Sports, said in a statement that CTV is privileged to have Bublé take the helm as host of the Junos.

“Mr. Bublé will no doubt impress Canadian audiences on the biggest and most spectacular night in Canadian music,” King said.

etalk will air an exclusive interview with Bublé Monday, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m. eastern time on CTV.
