TORONTO - Benedict Cumberbatch fans unable to cross the pond can catch his buzzy "Hamlet" performance at select Cineplex theatres.

The theatre chain says it will carry a broadcast of the National Theater show in London live via satellite on Oct. 15.

Tickets for the sold-out show were snapped up within minutes, thanks in large part to attention surrounding the Oscar-nominated thespian.

The "Sherlock" and "The Imitation Game" star has drawn favourable reviews for his take on Shakespeare's tragic hero, although the show overall has drawn largely mixed notices.

More than 60 Cineplex theatres across the country will carry the feed.

Encore performances will be shown on Nov. 7, 8, 9 and 11.
