The Eurovision Song Contest, the long-running singing competition mainly between European countries, culminates on May 14. Here's a look at the show by the numbers.

Number of editions: 61 (including 2016) since 1956.

Viewers: 200 million people watched the broadcasts in 2015.

Social media fans: 2 million, according to the contest.

Song length: No longer than 3 minutes.

Performers: 6 people maximum on stage. (And no live animals!)

Minimum age for participants: At least 16 years old on the day of the final.

Number of countries in 2016: 42, up from 40 last year. Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia and Ukraine have come back to the contest after not having participated last year. Portugal and Romania are sitting out the 2016 contest. The maximum number of participating countries allowed is 46.

Most wins: 7 by Ireland, in 1970, 1980, 1987, 1992, 1993, 1994 and 1996.

Ticket prices: $12.50-$55 for the semi-finals on May 10 and 12 (the May 14 final is sold out). For the post-final, "Eurovision, the Party," prices are $37.50 for the floor and $75 for premium seating (which includes entrance to the after-party). The events are being held at the Stockholm Globe Arenas.
