Meghan Markle, “Suits” actress, is brushing shoulders with Canada’s elite.
The American actress who was recently confirmed as Prince Harry’s girlfriend posted a photo of her speaking to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Instagram Thursday.
In a Throwback Thursday photo taken by CCTV broadcaster James Chau, Markle is seen talking to Trudeau at the One Young World summit in Ottawa earlier this year.
She also snapped photos with some of the delegates during the One Young World event which took place between Sept. 28 and Oct. 1.
Markle is an active humanitarian campaigner - especially for gender equality. This year she was named global ambassador for World Vision Canada.
She has also done work for United Nations Women and received a standing ovation after a speech she made on International Women’s Day at the Women’s conference in 2015.
It’s not the first time she’s crossed paths with the Trudeaus; she’s also believed to be friends with Sophie Gregoire Trudeau. She’s also been seen in social media posts hanging out with Sophie Gregoire Trudeau’s fashion strategist, Jessica Mulroney, daughter–in-law of former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney.
