David Beckham's sons think he is "so English".
The British soccer star - who lives in Los Angeles with wife Victoria Beckham and their three children, Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, eight, and five-year-old Cruz - doesn't mind the fact his boys have American accents but says he will never lose his own London twang.
He said: "They've got total American accents now, all three of them. I don't mind.
"Throughout my career I've obviously lived in Spain, Milan, Manchester, but I've never lost my East End accent and never will. The boys, that's fine, it makes me laugh. The boys are funny. I was putting Cruz to bed the other night and I said something to him and he turned around to me and said, 'Daddy you're so English.' I was like, 'So are you actually,' but he laughed about it."
Just as David's children believe he is very English, the 35-year-old sportsman insists London will always be home for the Beckham family, even though he has no idea if they will return to Britain when his contract with Los Angeles Galaxy comes to an end next year.
He added in an interview on UK TV show 'Daybreak': "We love London, that will always be our home without a doubt because we've still got a house there, we've still got all our family there. We miss that a lot.
"What will we do when my contract ends? I haven't thought what's going to happen after that. As long as the kids are happy - wherever the kids are happy - then we'll stay. And we're planning on staying here for a while, but we love going back to England as well."
