L'EPIPHANIE, Que. -- Strong winds have prevented rescue crews from resuming their search today for two people who have been missing in a Quebec quarry since Tuesday.
Authorities had been hoping to use a helicopter and a crane to find the man and the woman.
The landslide occurred in L'Epiphanie, east of Montreal.
About 60 people have been involved in the search, including police, geological engineers, safety commission inspectors and firefighters.
A canine unit has also been used.
Survivor Benoit Robert told reporters Wednesday about his harrowing experience which culminated with a provincial police helicopter swooping in to lift him up in a dramatic rescue operation.
