TROIS RIVIERES, Que. - Vigils were being held Saturday to remember nine-year-old Cedrika Provencher, the Quebec girl whose remains were discovered last week.
Cedrika's grandfather Henri Provencher was among those who gathered at the park in Trois-Rivieres where the girl was last seen in July 2007.
A candle-lighting event was also taking place at a Trois-Rivieres church.
Police say they are still searching the wooded area in nearby Saint-Maurice where the girl's skull was found.
No arrests have been made in connection with her disappearance.
