The family of an Abbotsford, B.C. woman who disappeared more than a week ago is asking for the public's help in locating her.

Crystal Ratvay was last seen on Sept. 9, when she drove away from her parents' house in a 1997 green Plymouth Neon with the B.C. license plate 004 NRL.

At a news conference Tuesday, her family said Ratvay was struggling with depression, and it isn't like her to not communicate with them.

"Your mother and myself and your brother and sister-in-law and all of your friends and family love you very, very much and we would really appreciate you to call somebody let us know you're okay," Ratvay's father Mike Ratvay said in an emotional plea.

"Let us know that whatever the problems are, we're here for you."

Ratvay is normally active on social media, but hasn't posted to her accounts, or used her cell phone since she disappeared.

Ratvay is 5-foot-3, weighs 115 pounds, and has blue eyes and blonde hair. She was last seen wearing black pants, a black shirt, and running shoes.

She was in the news three years ago, after she was the recipient of a donated car to replace her own vehicle that had been smashed during the Stanley Cup riots in Vancouver.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Abbotsford police at 604-859-5225.
