Police in London, Ont. have identified an individual suspected of leaving a beauty salon without paying for eight hours of work on her hair.

The woman, who is believed to have gone by the name "Sharon," is accused of ducking out on the bill at the Trinity Beauty Supply and Salon in London on June 22, after sitting for several hours to receive hair extensions and braids, police said. She was still wearing a hairdresser's cape when she took her purse and claimed she was stepping out for a cigarette. She did not return.

Police say she was identified "thanks to the power of social media," but have not released her name.

The suspect is described as a white woman between the ages of 50-60 years old, standing five-foot-three and weighing approximately 110 pounds. She has a Hello Kitty tattoo on her left forearm, a scripture tattoo on her right forearm and another tattoo on her right shin. She was wearing grey, knee-length leggings and a white long-sleeved sweater, police said.

Her hair is also quite conspicuous, with brown-and-white extensions and braids that hang below waist length.
