Toronto-born hip-hop superstar The Weeknd is poised to star in his own upcoming Marvel comic, titled “Starboy.”

The comic, which takes its name from the rapper’s latest album, was announced at New York Comic Con over the weekend. Few details have been revealed, but the teaser image features The Weeknd with a glowing pink arm.

The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, has been teasing the project for some time. He finally revealed it at a Marvel panel on Saturday, alongside fellow Canadian and comic industry titan Todd McFarlane, creator of Spawn.

Marvel has teamed with a number of musicians in recent years, including the Black Eyed Peas, and also recently featured a range of hip hop-themed variant covers.

The Weeknd is the latest high-profile Canadian to appear in a Marvel comic, following the likes of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau last year.

Marvel’s “Starboy” comic is due out sometime next year.
