Canada Post is apologizing after one of its drivers swore at a cyclist in an interaction that was recorded and posted online.

Cyclist Diane Jansen was biking on St. George Street south of Harbord Street when she came across a delivery truck stopped in the bike lane.

When she pulled out her phone to record the driver’s parking violation, an angry confrontation ensued.

The man can be seen in the video, which Jansen posted to YouTube on Tuesday, throwing what appears to be a piece of crumbled paper at the cyclist.

The driver also tells her to "f--k off" and "go f--k yourself" in the 25 second clip.

On Wednesday, Canada Post spokesperson John Hamilton issued a statement apologizing for the driver's behaviour, calling it "unacceptable."

Hamilton wrote that Canada Post also reached out to the cyclist personally to apologize and thank her for bringing the matter to the company's attention.

He said that the "appropriate action" had been taken following the incident, but would not elaborate.
