Toronto police have located a van that disappeared with 16 dogs inside, and all the canines are “in good health.”

Police said the dog owners will be contacted for pick up “after statements are taken.” All 16 pets have been accounted for.

Police said the van was found on Queen’s Quay East with all animals in the back of the van. It’s unclear whether any arrests have been made.

The dog walker’s van stolen was from outside a condo near Toronto’s waterfront on Friday morning, after the dog walker briefly went inside to pick up a pet. The van was left running to keep the air conditioning on, and the driver said he locked the door but had a second key handy.

“He was in for a minute, minute and a half, and the van was gone. It happened in a flash,” Allison Fodero, the owner of the doggy daycare service, told CTV Toronto.

According to Fodero, investigators told her that three other “work-type” vehicles were stolen in the area on Friday morning.
