The Abu Dhabi police force is adding yet another ultra exclusive, ultra expensive car to its fleet. The latest addition is a $3.4million Lykan HyperSport supercar, allegedly added in an effort to top the rival police supercar fleet of neighbouring Dubai.

The Abu Dhabi Lykan is one of just seven made, making it more exclusive than the one-of-77 Aston Martin One-77 in the Dubai police force's garage, and costs $3.4 million, topping the price of Dubai's $1 million Bugatti Veyron police cruiser.

While the Lykan HyperSport can cover 100 km/h from zero in 2.8 seconds and would as a result make an excellent highway patrol vehicle, it's more likely than not that the car will instead be used for promotional events than actual police work.

Nearby Dubai's police fleet famously includes more than a dozen super-expensive sports cars and exotics, and it's only been recently that Abu Dhabi has been trying to keep up. The country's authorities seems dead-set on building up an equally impressive garage there, and recently purchased a Rolls-Royce Phantom to that end.
