1. Keystone XL: In an interview on Sunday, U.S. president-elect Donald Trump suggested he'll move quickly on Keystone XL after taking office. During the election campaign, Trump has suggested that he would approve the project.

2. Child-care costs: A new study suggests that the cost of child care fees in some of Canada's biggest cities has skyrocketed over the last three years. However, the federal Social Development Minister says the Liberals plan to make a long-term funding commitment to help fight costs.

3. Health announcement: The federal health minister and minister of public safety are announcing an act to amend the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act this afternoon.

4. Opening its doors: The Pulse nightclub in Orlando is opening its doors for the first time in six months, after a deadly shooting at the bar. Families, survivors and first responders will attend a memorial service outside the club.

5. Special anniversary: It's been one year since Canada welcomes its first wave of Syrian refugees. The first group was greeted at Toronto's Pearson airport on Dec. 10, 2015.
