A youth was injured by a train in Winnipeg’s Weston neighbourhood. Around 8:45 p.m. on Friday, police were called to a report of a youth who had been injured by a moving train on the tracks in the 1300 block of Winnipeg Avenue West. Paramedics were also at the scene and transported the youth to hospital in unstable condition, which was later upgraded to stable. Police are reminding residents to be extremely cautious in and around active rail lines and never try to climb on rail equipment or approach a moving train.
