Two teenagers are facing murder charges after the death of a 16-year-old. Winnipeg police say officers were called to a parking lot in the 1700 block of Wellington Avenue around 8 a.m. on Thursday for a wellness check. When they arrived, a male youth with significant injuries was found dead. The service’s homicide unit took over the investigation and during that day’s evening hours, investigators arrested two youths at a business in the 600 block of King Edward Street. Both male and female youth, 17, are now facing a second-degree murder charge. They were detained in custody and no charges have been tested in court.
