A Tuesday morning crash on the Perimeter Highway in Winnipeg left a truck dangling from a bridge and resulted in one person being taken to hospital. According to Winnipeg police, officers were called to the overpass bridge at the Perimeter Highway and Fermor Avenue shortly after 8 a.m. When they arrived, they found a Ford F-350 truck with an attached trailer dangling off the side of the bridge. Police said the F-350 was heading south on the bridge when the trailer jackknifed, causing a crash with a Dodge Ram. As a result of the crash, the F-350 hit the guardrail of the bridge. RCMP, Winnipeg Fire and Paramedic Service and Springfield Fire and Rescue were able to extract one person from the Ford truck. He was taken to hospital as a precaution in stable condition. No injuries were reported. Winnipeg police said an inspector from Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure examined the bridge and determined it was safe to drive on. The Perimeter Highway reopened to traffic shortly after 11 a.m.
