The Manitoba government is warning about more measles exposures in the province, including at a school, church and school bus. In an update released Thursday, the province reported new potential exposures in Winkler and Gretna. In Winkler, the potential exposure happened at the Mennonite Church on Willowdale Crescent on May 8 between 7:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. Potential exposures were also reported at Gretna Elementary School on May 5, 7, and 8 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. The province said people riding school bus #38 on those same days may have been exposed to measles between 7:50 a.m. and 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. and 6:20 p.m. People who were at those places are asked to monitor for symptoms until May 30. Initial measles symptoms can include fever, runny nose, drowsiness, and red eyes, with a red, blotchy rash appearing on the face and moving down the body later. Symptoms generally appear between seven and 21 days following exposure. As of May 10, 44 cases of measles were reported in the province.
