A Winnipeg mall got the Hollywood treatment last week as a popular movie sequel filmed in the area. On Friday, crews could be seen filming “Violent Night 2” outside CF Polo Park. Images show caution tape, an ambulance and police vehicles as part of the set. The movie, which stars David Harbour and Kristen Bell, is the sequel to the 2022 action comedy about a disgruntled Santa Claus’ battle with a group of mercenaries who take a wealthy family hostage. Crews have been spotted filming around the city since late summer, including in August at Portage Place Mall. “Violent Night 2” is set to hit theatres in December 2026.
