Weather conditions across Manitoba and northwestern Ontario are relatively quiet on Wednesday. However, there is just enough atmospheric instability this afternoon that there is a low chance of showers in most regions. Otherwise, expect a mix of sun and cloud, light winds and afternoon highs in the low to mid-20s across southern Manitoba, including Winnipeg and Brandon. Similarly, much of northern Manitoba will see a mix of sun and cloud this afternoon, except the most northern regions that will remain cloudy. There is also a risk of thunderstorms from Flin Flon and The Pas, to Thompson, Norway House and Island Lake. Most northern regions will reach cooler daytime highs in the upper teens. It will be a grey day across northwestern Ontario on Wednesday, with cloudy skies, a chance of showers and afternoon highs between 23 C and 25 C. If you are a star gazer, the sky is expected clear late this evening over much of southern Manitoba and northwestern Ontario for expected celestial sightings including the Perseid meteor shower.
