Windsor Spitfires kick off round two with a win at home

The Spits are off and running in round two - getting the series started on the right foot with a game one win on home ice.

Windsor came out flying, Ethan Garden scoring on a power play and Max Brocklehurst then doubling the lead, but the Flint Firebirds pushed back, cutting it to one - then tying it in the third.

From there, it turned into a battle, but the Spits broke through.

Jack Nesbitt cashed in on another power play for the game-winner, then buried an empty netter to ice it as Windsor takes game one 4-2.

Game two goes Sunday at the WFCU centre. Puck drop set for 4:05.
