A woman in her 60s who was struck by a commercial vehicle while cycling in North Vancouver Monday morning has died, according to authorities. First responders were called to the scene of the crash at the intersection of West 1st Street and McKay Road around 7:45 a.m., the North Vancouver RCMP said in a statement. “Frontline officers along with paramedics attended the scene and rendered first aid to the cyclist. The cyclist was taken to the hospital where she was sadly pronounced deceased,” the statement said. According to Mounties, the commercial vehicle was making a left turn on a green light when the driver struck the cyclist. “This was a tragic incident resulting in the loss of life,” North Vancouver RCMP spokesperson Cpl.
